Spectacular Giant Sputnik Ceiling Lamp with 132 Bulbs 1950s
Extraordinary and very large impressive “Sputnik ceiling lamp” from the 1950s.
Built to order for a large ballroom in Frankfurt, Germany.
132 sockets for E27 light bulbs. 108 light bulbs are used in the sockets on the rings, 24 light bulbs in the interior. E27 bulbs or LEDs can be used. We have used 132 bulbs with 25 watts each for taking the digital image.
2 levels made of brass, lacquered metal and glass-like plastic. The middle pedestal is made of white glassy plastic with transparent small round windows of Lucite panes of different sizes.
Ideal for a banqueting hall, a hotel, an entrance hall or the reception room of a large house.
It is in an overall good original condition. The lamp should be installed by an experienced electrician and at least 3 helpers.
